A reliable and practical reference objective for the deviation diagnosis of energy system parameters

Liping LI, Zheng LI,

Frontiers in Energy 2009, Volume 3, Issue 4,   Pages 440-445 doi: 10.1007/s11708-009-0051-8

Abstract: The core objective to optimize a complex energy system is to set the reference target to guide the parameter adjustment of system operation. In this paper, a new case-based approach is proposed based on an online performance assessment program and its long-term operation data for a large power unit. The online model of a coal-fired power unit’s performance assessment is demonstrated, and the distribution pattern of the performance index is revealed by statistical analysis of the abundant data. The fundamental issues (representation of the similarity of two thermal processes, similarity measure, etc.) are tackled. The key sections and key parameters for the completion of similarity determination are proposed, which are essential to realize a case-based strategy. A full-scope simulator of power unit is used to test the availability of the method. The advantage of the case-based approach is the integrality of information over other methods.

Relationship of endothelial nitric oxide synthase gene polymorphism with blood pressure, lipid profile

TANG Zhongzhi, LI Junyao, YANG Jianhong

Frontiers of Medicine 2008, Volume 2, Issue 2,   Pages 178-181 doi: 10.1007/s11684-008-0033-y

Abstract: To study the relationship of the polymorphism of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) gene and blood pressure, lipid profiles and blood glucose level. By using PCR-RFLP, the eNOS Glu298Asp gene polymorphism was detected in 184 patients with essential hypertension and 196 matched healthy individuals with normal blood pressure. Taking into account eNOS Glu298Asp polymorphisms, the relationship of blood pressure with triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL) and blood glucose level was analyzed. The distribution of eNOS Glu298Asp polymorphism had no significant difference between different blood pressure groups and gender groups, but there was a significant difference between different age groups, diastolic blood pressure groups or BMI groups ( < 0.05). Asp/Asp genotype significantly increased the risk of hypertension in individuals with serum TC above 5.4 mmol/L ( = 0.03, = 2.65). eNOS Glu298Asp polymorphism and serum lipid could synergistically modulate the blood pressure. eNOS Asp/Asp genotype could significantly increase the risk of hypertension in individuals with serum TC over 5.4 mmol/L. eNOS Glu298Asp in combination with serum TC could be used to predict the risk of hypertension.

Zhao Jinsheng,Tan Junling,Gu Zhengfu,Liu Xiaochun

Strategic Study of CAE 2012, Volume 14, Issue 11,   Pages 88-93

Abstract:

Aiming at the characteristic of the formation water of Huaqing Chang 6 reservoir and taking the comprehensive foaming ability as evaluation index, 6 foaming agents were optimized. ZY-1 foaming agent was the optimal foaming agent, and the optimal foaming agent concentration and foam stabilizer concentration were 0.5 % and 764 mg/L respectively. On the basis of the foaming agent optimization result, using parallel cores with approximate permeability contrast,CO2 foam flooding experiment was simulated through 2 injection way. The experiment result showed that underground foaming way, CO2 and the foaming agent injected alternately, had higher plugging differential pressure and better displacement efficiency. The optimal injection slug combination was first 0.2 PV (pore volume) foaming agent solution and then 0.4 PV CO2 gas, and the total injected volume was 0.6 PV.
